There are plans ready to develop a so-called residential care villa at Oorgat 6 en 6a in Edam, which should replace the current company buildings.
The current house (farm) will be replaced by a new detached house. The plan is to provide a home to elderly people with dementia at this location. The characteristic beech tree on the site will be preserved.
The developers Oorgat Ontwikkeling BV and OOG van de Bouwmeester BV want to investigate together with the municipality whether the plan is feasible. In the coming week, the initiators will talk to local residents via a digital meeting. Architectural firm Ruben Wennekers from Oosthuizen has been called in to draw up the plan.
