Cruquius – Wickevoort Estate phase 1

Together with area and real estate developer AM builds Eigen Haard the new environmentally friendly residential area Landgoed Wickevoort on the site of the Cruquishoeve in the Municipality of Haarlemmermeer.

The site owes its name to the Van Wickevoort Crommelin family from Heemsteed. In the nineteenth century, the family exploited the Cruquius farm in the then still young Haarlemmermeerpolder. The estate covers approximately 45 hectares, part of which remains the property of SEIN (Stichting Epilepsie Instituut Nederland).

Landgoed Wickevoort will be a green residential area with a maximum of 1,000 homes, both owner-occupied and rental properties. Future residents can use the riding school, the petting zoo and the swimming pool that are already present on the property. Eigen Haard is realizing at least 226 social rental homes and AM is building owner-occupied homes and private sector rental homes.

The aim is to drive the first pile for social rental housing in 2020. These will be built in four phases. The first phase consists of 83 single-family homes designed by M3H for the Poortgebouw 1 and Heren 5 Architects subplan for the De Erven 2 subplan. All homes are gas-free and Zero-op-the-Meter (NOM). The architectural realization is carried out by KBK Bouw. Apartments will also be built in later phases.

State of play

KBK Bouw from Volendam started at the beginning of this year with the De Erven 2 sub-plan. At the end of April, the piling work for Poortgebouw 1 will also start. Completions are scheduled for the third and fourth quarter of this year.
